Is your phone acting up? Before considering a return, exchange or repair, try these quick fixes at home for some common issues with your phone.

For each of the troubleshooting tips below, consult your phone’s user guide for specific instructions:

• Restart your phone: Powering your phone off and on again can solve many issues
• Reset your phone to factory settings: This can fix some problems but remember that it will delete all personal data from your phone. Backup all photos, videos, and data before you do this
• Update your phone’s software: New software updates and features can fix known issues. To access 5G network speeds, ensure you have a compatible phone, your phone’s software is up-to-date and you are connected to the Public Mobile 5G network where available. Remember to back up all your data before updating your software, sometimes updating errors can lead to a loss of personal data
• Remove the SIM card: Make sure your phone is off before removing and reinserting the SIM card
• Remove your phone’s battery: If your phone has a removable battery, removing and reinserting it can fix some issues. Make sure your phone is off before you do this
