Overview of Long Distance Add-Ons
Public Mobile has a number of long distance options you can add-on to your subscription, depending on who you want to call.
Our long distance add-ons options include:
- 500 Canada-wide Minutes for $5
- 1000 Minutes to the U.S. for $15;
- 1000 Minutes to the U.K. for $15;
- 750 Minutes to India and Pakistan for $15;
- 500 Minutes to China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan for $15;
- 100 Minutes to the Philippines for $15
- 300 International Minutes for $15 which now includes more calling locations
- Countries included in international long distance include: Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Venezuela. Calls must originate from Canada. Any unused minutes will roll over to your next cycle.
Please note that you will need to have talk included in your subscription to use these add-ons. If you have a problem calling an international number, ensure the following:
- You are using the correct dialing pattern: Exit Code + Country Code + Area Code + Phone Number.
- You have Long Distance minutes remaining on your subscription. Check by signing into My Account.
How Long Distance Add-Ons Are Used Up
Your long distance minutes will only be used if you are in Canada and making a call to area codes outside of Canada. If you are on a limited talk subscription and you’ve used your in-plan minutes, your long distance minutes will also be used.
When in Canada and while you still have remaining minutes, you can receive calls from anywhere in the world, regardless of whether you have a Long Distance Add-On.
