How to Set Up a Mobile Hotspot

Setting up a mobile hotspot allows you to share your phone’s internet connection with other devices like laptops or tablets. Here’s how to set up a mobile hotspot on your phone:

Apple Devices
  1. Open the Settings app on your home screen
  2. Tap on 'Cellular'
  3. Select 'Personal Hotspot' to activate it
  4. Your hotspot is now discoverable, and the default password is shown
  5. If you want to change your password, select 'Wi-Fi Password' and enter a new one
Android Devices
  1. Open the 'Settings' app on your home screen
  2. Tap on 'Network & Internet'
  3. Select 'Hotspot & Tethering'
  4. Turn on the toggle for 'Portable Wi-Fi hotspot'
  5. Tap on 'Set up Wi-Fi hotspot'
  6. Enter a name for your hotspot in the 'Network name' field
  7. Select the 'WPA2' option under 'Security'
  8. Enter a password for your hotspot in the 'Password' field
  9. Tap on 'Save' to finish

Remember, data used on devices connected to your hotspot will use your plan data. We recommend setting up a password to prevent unauthorized use and additional charges. Read this article for tips on how to manage your data usage.
